Join the Genesee County Pharmacists Association (GCPA) for its next Live CE Dinner Program. The program is titled "Playing with Fire - Exploring Burnout and Patient Safety in Pharmacy Practice" and is presented by past GCPA Chairman Jason Williamson. Jason is the Clinical Pharmacy Manager and Post Graduate Year One (PGY1) Residency Program Director at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc.

The program will be held Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the Ascension Genesys Athletic Club and Conference Center, located at 805 Health Park BLVD, Grand Blanc, Mich. 48439. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program will commence at 7 p.m.

Pharmacists and technicians will earn 1 hour of live continuing education (CE) credit. Learning objectives are to (1) Identify the symptoms of burnout syndrome; (2) Describe the impact burnout can have on patient and medication safety; and (3) Select individual-based and organization-based strategies that can be employed to mitigate burnout.

The program is free to GCPA members and $20 for nonmembers. Attendees must register in advance using the following link:
